Kroger Brand Mega Mission! Level 1

Hey, all! I was accepted into the My Magazine Sharing Network Kroger Brand Mega Mission and Level 1 was BALLIN'!

I received the following for free, entirely complimentary for review.
- Kroger Chunky ChipMates Cookies
- Kroger Fruity Flavoured Snacks
- Kroger Simply Classic Trail Mix

And Y'ALL lemme tell ya how happy my entire family was. I LOVE keeping trail mix on me for when I'm out playing Pokemon GO or at work. So a free big bag of classic Kroger brand trail mix? YES PLEASE. I'm picky, so I've had to go through it and pick out the almonds, but otherwise it's classic and satisfying as trail mix could ever be.
Alice is all about these fruit snacks. Whenever we buy them, we buy them 2 boxes at a time because of the sale, and always Kroger brand. Typically she gets the vehicle ones with the spaceship on it, or the princess ones, but one of the two we get is always the "LELLOW!" box now because she just likes these the best! I have to admit, I snuck a pack or two myself. ;)
My husband was so stoked on the cookies. He's a sucker for giving into his sweet tooth. And while I typically don't like prepackaged chocolate chip cookies, I have to admit these were pretty tasty! I kept wanting "just one more".

All in all, I am so happy to be a member of the Kroger Brand My Magazine Sharing network. I am always getting amazing prodcts from the Kroger brand family, plenty of coupons so I can continue savings on the products I Love, and it just gives me more reason to continue being loyal to Kroger and their family. I have never been so appreciative and seen such an involved with the community company as Kroger when I moved back to Savannah and I am so happy to have it here! I wish my hometown had one so my family could enjoy saving at Kroger! Where Awesome Meets Affordable!

I Apologize for the Sudden Break, and I Plan to Begin Anew!

Hey, all! I just wanted to apologize for my sudden, unexpected short break from product reviews and inform you all that I plan to begin anew!

Without getting too much into everything, I would just like to say that I have been having some emotional trials recently and a massive lack of motivation in Life to do most of the things I needed to do and devote the time it took to run my review pages. I ended up getting so behind that I kind of just gave up, and recently I have had some hard emotional things to go through both on my own and with my husband. We've had a rough couple of months, but we are working towards better together and in ourselves, and for me, that includes my reviews! I'm sure I probably don't qualify for a lot of things anymore, but I am going to do my best at getting back into it and working on them again and hopefully I will be as active and accepted into programs as I was earlier and this time last year! It's coming up close to two years or so I began running this blog regularly and I would like to continue!

Thank you all for your continued support, I apologize again, and here's to doing better! I hope you are all well!

Anything #ForYourPet Campaign

I got into an AWESOME campaign from Kroger's MyMagazineSharing Network for Fluke! In it, I received:

Value: Total $10.77
Rating: 4/5 overall (5/5 Purina ONE, 5/5 Friskies Party Mix, 2/5 Meow Mix Simple Servings)

This is her favourite food, the first snack she's liked in nearly a year, and a wet food that she doesn't particularly like, but she enjoys the gravy off of it.

I cannot review the Purina ONE Tender Selects positively ENOUGH! Ever since the first time we ever received a free sample from PinchME three years ago, she has LOVED it. She almost refuses to eat anything else. It's good for her, a line from a brand that has been around and trusted for FOREVER, and it doesn't make her fat.

And THESE. TREATS. Fluke hasn't responded or been into any treats for nearly a year. But the Friskies (I got the turkey kind with gravy) Party Mix has been a hit with her. Not so much the Meow Mix Simple Servings, but she's not a huge fan of wet food to begin with and she doesn't really like fish flavoured stuff, and we received this in white tuna. The coupons for these treats have been a saving grace, though. I'm so happy to have them help me save on something special for her, and now we get to spoil her just a little bit again. It feels nice being able to give our furbaby a little something to make her day of being harassed by a toddler a bit better.

How to Walk Away Book Review [Contains SPOILERS]

I received How to Walk Away by Katherine Center for free to review from SheSpeaks Book Club!

And am I glad I did! It was a GREAT read! Unique and unexpected, it was something I literally couldn't put down until I could no longer keep my eyes open! I stayed up until 2am the day I began reading it and finished it before my husband even went to work the next day.

I can honestly say while I can't relate Margaret's, the protagonist's, plights throughout the book, I definitely felt something relate-able at the very beginning when her boyfriend was practically forcing/guilting her into doing something she was CLEARLY and openly uncomfortable with. Immediately I was on edge, hoping to see that she would put her foot down and be strong. She didn't, but she was strong throughout the rest of the book. I really enjoyed the perspective of going through this. Normally it's losing a Loved one, or having some type of Life affecting tragedy in these kinds of stories, but not so much a Life changing one, that actually in the long run changes your day to day actions. In this novel, our protagonist becomes paralyzed, completely and utterly taking away her Life as she knows it and having to literally relearn the small details of her Life all over again.

While I was constantly and sickeningly infuriated over the amount of sympathy and consideration given to Charles, Margaret's fiancee for a bit of the book, I absolutely cheered when Margaret decided she was just done after he cheated. Beyond that, I adored the dynamic she had with Ian. Their interactions were hilarious, and each time I was thoroughly invested in moving forward and seeing the next development between the two. I devoured all of the fluffiness, Margaret's dry humour, the unexpected turn of Ian denying her (out of his own pseudo nobility). My favourite part of the book, though, is the ending. While a happy one, it's also a realistic one. Margaret doesn't have a miraculous recovery, but she uses her strength to build something she can live for. It's awesome and inspiring in a realistic way. I can't relate, but I can still take important connections from this book into my own Life, to move forward and find a way when something changes my Life. It's awesome and I highly recommend the journey for anyone who hasn't taken it yet!

Saturday Skin Rub-A-Dub Refining Peel Gel

I received this in the Saturday Skin VoxBox complimentary from Influenster to test out and review!
Value: $28.00
Rating: 4/5

So far, this is the only product in this VoxBox that I have enjoyed and used multiple times. It smells pretty good, doesn't take a lot to use for the whole face, and makes my skin feel soooo soft. I really like this kind of exfoliation, I can SEE how much dead skin is being removed. I'm super happy with this and plan on using it until it's aaaallllll gone!

Saturday Skin Hydrating Sheet Mask

I received this in the Saturday Skin VoxBox complimentary from Influenster to test and review!
Value: $6.00
Rating: 4/5

This was sooo nice! It was cooling and refreshing! Super hydrating, too. The second item in this free to review VoxBox I didn't have any issues with and it was a one time use. The only thing I could complain about, and this is a complaint with any and all face masks, is that there are not multiple sizes available because I have a very small face and it was far too big and didn't fit; it nearly just fell off my entire face about five times.

Ripple Dairy Free Yogurt Alternative

I received this for FREE from Kroger's MyMagazineSharing Network!
Value: $1.99
Rating: 0/5

Since I'm not a yogurt fan, I got this one for my husband and daughter. So, we went and got our free Ripple. My husband said if he didn't like it, he would just give the rest to our daughter. He tried it the next morning and gagged. It was so terrible, apparently. He said, "I understand why dairy free yogurt isn't a thing now." He said it didn't even taste right, like it was no good anymore. He didn't even want to risk giving it to out daughter because he thought it'd make her sick! Sticking to regular yogurt for sure!
