Influenster UpSpringMom VoxBox - Milkflow Supplements

Yay! Finally, I'm able to put up my review of the items in my UpSpring Mom VoxBox from Influenster. Just a disclaimer, I received this box and these items for free from UpSpring as a sponsored campaign through Influenster to test out and review, with all opinions as my own. Now, there are a lot of goodies in here, so let's get started!

NOTICE:There were three flavours of supplement powder, but I only tried and reviewed two myself. Just read along to see why and find out what I thought of it.

UpSpring Milkflow Production Supplement, Chocolate - Tastes like pure cacao, thick. I had to thin it out with extra milk, and it doesn't dissolve easily or entirely. But it's still not too chalky, either. I'm personally not a huge fan of naturally flavoured products, so I sweetend it up with some traditional Nesquik, but if you like natural flavours, this should be just fine for you. It wasn't gross or unpleasant, just not the kind of sweetness I like. I don't really need it, I've been producing just fine and will be weaning my daughter soon, but I'm happy to try them out regardless. More can't hurt, right I can always pump if need be.

EDIT: Okay, so I had that glass when I woke up this morning. It's now the end of the day, and I'm going to bed, but I had to say that this actually cut my milk supply significantly. I have never produced so little in a single day since I've given birth. I'm going to test out the berry and citrus flavours, but in half of the 'doses' the packet says and then after that I'm saving the remaining samples to give away. I'd rather not be putting my daughter's food supply at risk.

UpSpring Milkflow Production Supplement, Berry - The smell is what makes this one so undesirable. I had to mix it in with the Berry Boost Bolthouse Farms Smoothie AND pinch my nose to drink it. Even then, I cold't finish it. I drink my smoothies in a 4 oz. juice glass every morning, so I only added about half the powder. Even so, it was still pretty overpowering. I'm going to be recommending the Chocolate to people.

UpSpring Milkflow Production Supplement, Citrus - My husband and I decided that because of the effect this product was having on my production supply, it would be best if I stopped testing it out. I did not try out the third Citrus flavour out of concern for supplying my daughter with adequate milk for her ridiculous appetite! I took the remaining sample mixes and divided them between my sister-in-law, who is due in October, and a friend of ours who is due in December. I hope this review post helped and apologize for any worries or obstacles reading this may present for someone, but do keep in mind these are just my experiences. If you feel you need some help, try this out, the Chocolate isn't totally horrible and it might work for you!!!
