Saturday Skin Rise + Shine Gentle Cleanser

I received this Saturday Skin Rise + Shine Cleanser complimentary from Influenster for my honest review.
Rating: $26 (absolutely UNGODLY)
Value: 2/5

I was so excited to try out the entire Saturday Skin set I had this morning and was stoked to open it up during my morning shower.

So imagine how disappointed I was after using it. It wasn't terrible, but first of all, it was creamy and thick. I tend to prefer gel cleansers and - and I accept that this is on me, here - I had assumed this was such. Saving grace for me was that it smelled very citrus-y and bright. It was fresh and zesty, so I was like, "Okay, not too terrible."

And then I rinsed it off. When I rinsed it off, it stopped smelling like a good morning and began smelling like soap. Bar soap. Like straight up, cheap, plain "Original Fresh" soap. And after it was all rinsed away, my skin was dryyy. Granted, I understand that it's not a cleanser's job to hydrate, it's the moisturizer's, so I can overlook it. But it's not a good feeling when you have dry skin and you're STILL IN THE SHOWER with hot water and steam.

So, I guess I might use this? But truthfully, after this one use, I'm considering just giving the rest of the entire thing away. Also, who in their right minds would pay a ridiculous $26 for this?!
